Heyyy Olivia Zoe here!
This is a small collection of songs I wrote for all the little
versions of myself that make up the whole of me.
The Work is Never Done is for my anxious achiever. She feels
so indebted to the world around her and works so hard for her
own approval that she always seems to fall short of. The
pain she feels from this makes her the best person to hold
space for others whenever the weight of their lives becomes
too much. She is the ultimate comforter, and for her I wish
the peace she provides for others.
Let Me Love You is for my inner avoidant, terrified of the love
she craves. She goes through life inside of a glass box. She
can see the falling of the rain and she can hear the breeze
blowing through the trees, but she can’t feel it. She is all too
aware that with great joy and great love, comes great pain.
For her I wish the unwavering inner knowing that she has
the strength to fully feel the entire spectrum of emotions life
will throw at her. She may fall apart, but from rubble sprouts
new life.
and Her Table. Her Table is for my inner adventurer! Wide eyed,
curious, and ENDLESSLY restless. She strives to see to it that
no rock is left unturned and there’s NEVER enough time
to get it all done. She’s not wrong. Exploring what’s beyond
every bend can’t happen in just one life time, but we can make
the adventures we do take, worth it. We can truly learn,
rather than mindlessly consuming information, and we can
breathe our experiences in deeply rather than rushing to the
next. For her I wish patience. For her I wish the deep and
complex experiences of life and the ability to truly process
them.
